from this:

Cat pee soaked floor - Loud open laundry - and BORING!
to THIS:

Ripped out flooring, sub floor, insulation, and a good foot of the wall!
to a space we can call OURS:

A little graffiti to spice things up...and this room will be OURS!
A big thanks to all our helpers – especially MIKE D –
for his craftsmanship on the walls we built around the washer and dryer.
Crystal and Brandon
for their tag teamed BRUT force ripping out the remaing flooring and precision laying the new floor.
And of course Sophia for the inspiration (her favorite color lately has been turquoise – and what little kid doesn’t want an entire wall made into a chalkboard!) and excellent painting skills!
oh yeah…and how could I forget to show off Robyn’s GUNS – both the one she’s holding and the one she’s flexing!
During that week of initial construction – I don’t think I ever sweat more in my life!
The boys helped a little bit too:Â Elliot with his hammer…
and Oliver sketching out the corner molding detail…
What can I say. You guys are AMAZING!! Love it. I can’t wait to see you add the Bywater touch all over your house. I’m sure the house is saying, “thank thank you Bywaters! I am so glad you bought me!” 🙂
It still needs a few finishing touches…like the shelf, touch up on the white paint/moldings, cool knobs on the closet and some of our kids art work! Oliver and Elliot just finished some watercolors, it’s fun to finally have a room to do our art projects in! It’s my favorite room in the house so far! 🙂
Wow! I LOVE IT!!!!. I’d like to see a cat just try to get near that gorgeous new room now!! What a beauty….Tell Sophia I am loving the turquoise too!!! 🙂
Wow! That looks much more like you guys! 🙂 Can’t wait to come and see it…hopefully sometime soon. 🙂
I can’t wait to visit so I can see the wonderful job you’ve done. Of course who knows when that’ll be but hopefully early next year.
what a HUGE amount of work … it looks amazing. i love when i get a huge project like that finished! pax would LOVE a chalk wall … maybe i can think of somewhere for one at our house. we are thinking of coming out there next fall so we’ll let you know when. miss you!
