So, we’ve tried to start a collection of beautiful and yummy jarred foods.  We found a great farm (Larriland farm) about 45 mins. north of us – so far we’ve grabbed raspberries and peaches from them (unfortunately the raspberries turned into a VERY SAD story…but we’ll try again next season!).  And then our own Bywater farm produced some SUPER YUMMY tomatoes, cucumbers and watermelon.  The cucumbers were way too big for canning – and the watermelon that we’ve tried was delicious – and we ate about half the tomatoes and canned the rest.  The kids had mixed emotions on the process but were SUPER great helpers in each step of the process from planting, picking, peeling and stuffing…
